We are re-inventing the classic family vacation.This nothing like the family summer road trip in the Oldsmobile that I remember from my childhood.

In response to a growing number of requests from past clients we have created The Tofino Family Kayaking Trip. We are the only company who offers Gourmet Kayaking tours, with a chef on each departure. Our guests can expect the same great quality of meals, gear and guides as we have provided in the past on our Gourmet Kayaking Tours. Parents don’t have to sacrifice quality for family programming. This trip includes all the gear, meals, snacks, professional guides & 2 nights accommodation in a rustic lodge.

The lodge on Vargas Island provides a perfect base for our Tofino Family Kayaking Trip. The large property and private beach is a great place for kids to play and explore during land based free time.  Spend 2 nights at the rustic Vargas Island Inn enjoying creative dinners prepared by your chef / guide.

You can focus on relaxing while we focus on preparing meals with food sourced from local Island farms and BC wines. After dinner, enjoy some time in front of the fireplace or roast some marshmallows on a beach fire with the kids.

Our naturalist guides will safely explore and interpret the intertidal zone, during shoreline paddles and beach walks. An excursion to Meares Island allows us to walk amongst ancient rainforest on the Big Tree Trail.

We launch from the west coast resort town of Tofino, Vancouver Island’s most popular summer destination. Famous for long beaches, great fishing, Hot Springs Cove, Canada's surfing capital and summer feeding ground for migrating Gray whales. We recommend spending a little time before or after your trip to enjoy some of the many wonders offered by the west coast. We would be happy to recommend accommodations as well.
